User interfacesPRO
Overview of the three primary user interfaces for configuration, monitoring and control.
Overview
Direkt router exposes three user interfaces:
- Web interface – full configuration & administration (chapter 3.12 original manual)
- Front panel display + keypad (PPM panel) – basic / fallback config when no web access
- ISS (Intinor Supervision System) – remote supervision, statistics, alarms, remote control
Selection Guidance
| Scenario | Recommended Interface | Rationale |

| Initial deployment / full setup | Web | Complete configuration coverage |
| No network browser access | Display + keypad | Local fallback, edit active settings |
| Fleet monitoring / remote ops | ISS | Central stats, alarms, remote control |
| Quick profile switch on site | Display + keypad | Fast without PC |
| Troubleshooting bandwidth / packet loss | ISS | Historical graphs & alarms |

Best Practices
- Always secure the web interface (change default admin password immediately).
- Use ISS for proactive alarming (fan / disk / network) rather than reactive local checks.
- Train operators on keypad essentials (profile select, network status, start/stop recording).
